2000 Jeep Cherokee Drivers Door Window Stuck Down

Driver side operates fine.

2000 jeep cherokee drivers door window stuck down. The drivers switch is the master switch and not like the others. The drivers side window is stuck open again. This leads me to believe that it is not the motor this time. I have a problem with my 2000 jeep cherokee. It will go down but not up. Among the windows the remote door lock mirror and light does not work at all.

It seems this would the solution to my grand cherokee 98. It is not stuck in the tracks as it moves front to back and side to side in its channel. Get two pieces of wood. When the door panel is off and the switch is manipulated then it works for almost 2 or 3 days and then again nothing works.

Drive the glass into the full up position by pulling up on the window switch to its second detent manual mode and holding switch until the glass is fully closed. Get inside the car and open the door as you are holing the window switch down slam the door shut a few times sometimes this will jar the window motor loose if it is stuck. Disconnect the window from the motor. The alarm can not be activated.

Same issue using both the front and rear window switches. The passenger front window will not go up. I purchased a brand new motor and installed it but the same problem is occuring. Meter d the leads to the motor and i m getting 12v rolling down but not rolling up.

If it works ok now the window motor is. You will need to hold the window up once you remove the screws of the regulator mechanism so that the window does not fall off the regulator mechanism. So the same problem reemerged on the same window. Have a 2000 grand cherokee.

Drive the glass to the full down position by pushing down on depress the window. If the window goes up but not down most likely the switch. Window rolled down but won t come back up. For some reason the leads are not switching polarity.

Reset the express up module for the door window glass in question. The motor sounds and by the partial movement appears to be working properly.
